I was volunteering at the shelter and met Wednesday, the prettiest little black kitten I'd ever seen. She had such a kind disposition. Unfortunately, she had a runny nose and was sneezing quite a bit. In order to keep the other felines at the shelter from catching her cold, she needed to be fostered until she could heal. I took her home and gave her love and the medications she needed.

She brought so much joy to our little home. When she was well, I worked with the shelter to get her adopted. As luck would have it, a friend came to visit me and decided she was in love with Wednesday, so we made arrangements for her to get adopted.
I learned that fostering can be a great way to do my part in helping my local shelter while enjoying the company of a wonderful animal.
