Careers at GJAS

Some jobs come with spreadsheets. Ours come with zoomies.

Hands-on shelter work with a mission-driven team — whiskers, happy adoption tears, real responsibility, and the occasional muddy paw print. This is work that matters before your coffee even cools off.

Two big roles. One big mission.

This is real shelter work — cuddly moments, yes, but also cleaning, teamwork, tough days, and the deep satisfaction of helping pets and people at the same time.

Canine Care Tech

If zoomies had a logistics department, this role would be running it.

  • Daily feeding, water checks, cleaning, laundry, and visual wellness checks
  • Potty breaks, walks, play, and enrichment — movement and structure for every dog
  • Watch behavior, appetite, and condition closely; share clear notes with the team
  • Keep dog housing, adoption spaces, and routines safe, organized, and visitor-ready

Best fit: Calm in the bark-a-thon, kind under pressure, and unfazed by muddy paws, flying tennis balls, or a surprise chorus at kennel-cleaning time.

Feline Care Tech

Part cat whisperer, part shelter concierge, part intake-and-adoption lifesaver.

  • Daily cat and kitten care: feeding, cleaning, enrichment, comfort, close observation
  • Keep cat rooms tidy, calm, and adoption-ready for shy cats and playful kittens alike
  • Work the front desk — welcome visitors, assist with intakes, help guide adoptions
  • Support paperwork and communication so people and pets move through the day smoothly

Best fit: Can switch from scooping litter to soothing a nervous adopter without missing a beat — and understands that cats absolutely do judge your efficiency.
