Facilities

A new era for GJAS

In the past five years alone, 10,259 animals have been saved through this shelter. On April 15, 2024 we broke ground on a transformation that expands capacity, improves care, and creates welcoming spaces for adopters, volunteers, and staff.

Renovating the original buildings

The original shelter buildings are being renovated to serve new purposes, including a minor medical facility for urgent care and a dedicated cat neutering suite — allowing us to help even more animals in need.

Construction progress has been captured in detail throughout the project thanks to the dedication of longtime volunteer Don Hoffmann.
